THA is spending less time on the road this spring to begin work on a new LP.

These new tunes are already in the live mix, using much more traditional African instrumentation than previous albums. Producer search is in the works. Stay tuned!

The New THA album is in!!!!! Go to our store to order physical copy or download the tracks in the music tab. The album will be on itunes, zoon, amazon, and pandora in a few weeks.

This project has been 6 months in the making and has involved producer Jim Devito (The Eagle's / Mofro), Jody Grey (Prostar Studios) and mastered by Stephen Marsh (Ben Harper / Incubus). "It is an 11 song LP that will redefine the sound of the band. South African and Malian influences can be heard throughout the album. There will also be some instrumental songs on this record which is a new twist for THA. This album was said to be much more of a team effort than previous works, including vocal harmonies from every member of the band."

We are throwing a Funky Reggae Halloween costume party on October 29th at the Museum of History. It is located on the beautiful downtown waterfront at the base of the pier. There will be beer trucks and food available! This will be a Wizard of Oz themed partaaaay but all costumes are welcome so come as you are.

Only 300 tickets will be available.

THA started recording a new LP in June and will be taking most of the summer off. They have narrowed 25 songs down to 10-12 solid tracks.

"The vibe is heavily persuaded by our influences over the last couple of years. Artists from Mali (Ali Farka Toure) and Zimbabwe (Oliver Mtukudzi and Thomas Mapfumo) have most definitely added ideas and sparked overall direction of this record.

We are focusing on vocals a bit more for this record too. The entire band is singing on a few tracks which we haven't done in the past. A few songs will also be recorded all analog, hopefully giving us a nice vintage feel that we try to create during our live shows." - D. New.

The record is being produced by The Hip Abduction, Jim Devito (Eagles, Mofro), and Jody Gray at ProStar Studios in St Petersburg Fl and Retrophonics Studios in St Augustine Fl. Release date should be in September but not confirmed.
